** Reminder- Tomorrow is the last day to turn in reading logs for February and meet your AR point goal for February. Also, Scholastic orders for February are due tomorrow!
Language Arts: Quiz on past, present, and future tense on Thursday. Reading: Study vocab. Test on Friday. Spelling: 4x each on compound words. Final test will be on Friday. Our skill this week will be cause and effect!
A cause is why something happens. An effect is what happens. Clue words such as because, so, and cause sometimes signal a cause and effect relationship. Grammar: This week we will discuss the tenses of verbs. This is when the action happens. We will talk about past tense, present tense, and future tense. Word Analysis: Latin root words struct; scrib, and script - Latin root words carry the basic meaning of the word and they come from the Latin Language. - Struct means "to build" -Scrib and Scrip both have the same meaning "to write" destruction- great damage, ruin
